David's Day
Well true to form I didn't stay up half the night working fell asleep watching a crummy Sc Fi movie never mind I'll just have to be busy today.
I have prepared a few blank sketches of Wimborne Minster for the Market - I enjoy sitting behind the stall demonstrating the Art box.

CAD Arts coming soon.
Sometime over the next day or so I will create a database of the CAD Arts Exhibitions and Event Diary and add it to the Priory Art site.
This is a small leaflet distributed throughout Dorset UK that outlines all the local events for the Christchurch area. i.e. Art, Music, Craft, Films and the rest.

Christchurch Art Guild
Also a few pages dedicated to the Christchurch Art Guild I am a member of.

NEW! NEWS! NEW! NEWS! NEW!
Priory Art Watercolour discussion forum launched. A place in hyperspace where talk is cheap but informative, fun, and interesting
A coffee time chat area to post messages, read other artists views and thoughts - a place to tell others your tips and tricks - advice keep it polite ladies and gentlemen please.
Staggering news eh, well I'm gonna use it - Should be quite interesting having a forum with myself!David's Day
Well probably like everybody else I started today with great plans to start and finish off some art works - but guess what it's a teacher training day at the school so with all the children home it looks like I'll have to postpone everything till late in the evening.
I've done loads of admin stuff between rescuing the cat from the tumble dryer and trying to fix the unbreakable plastic chair. Besides just watching the Simpsons on TV my kids actually play out the roles.

I managed to spend some time on the web found a link to Ron Ranson's web pages - mmmm,,, - on a positive note I also added a couple of new links hello to Peter Saw, Bryan Thatcher and David Bellamy, at the present time they're the only artists I have the time for oh mustn't forget Don Harrison - I bought a signed copy of his book a while ago, Watercolour Troubleshooter very good. If your out there Don send in your web address.

Why do teenagers make so much noise I bought my 15 year old son the posh headphones he wanted - well either they don't work or my hearings going supersonic, I thought heavy metal was something the Germans used in the film Guns of Navarone trying to make a bomb - or was it heavy water, aw well it's flipping louder than we used to play it when we were kids, ha. Well if I get up tomorrow post staying up half the night working in piece and quiet. I have to get my stuff together somehow ready for the weekly Wimborne Sunday Market.
I've made up some pads of the amazing Dutch watercolour paper. As long as it's stretched you can do what you like to it - well within reason, lets just say it's robust.
I have managed to create a couple a sketches this morning as I like to sit and demo to people how to paint using the Universal Art Box and a few sketch doodles save a lot of time. There is actually a third way of using the Studio Box as an Easel that allows for working in portrait mode - a free Dutch Watercolour pad to the first person to spot it.
Right I'm going to light up my electric guitar, fire out a few power chords to drown that noisy son of mine out of my head!!!!

NEW! BOX NEWS! NEW! BOX NEWS
Congratulations to Bookends Art Store one of the first stores in the Dorset area to report not just a lot of interest in the Universal studio Art Box but also sales.
Bookends is one of the premier art stores in Christchurch Dorset, in fact I must confess to buying a lot of my own day to day arty things there. I recently purchased a set of Graphite Aqua pencils to try out while sketching on location. I watched a David Bellamy (see links) video and he was demonstrating them - good enough for him certainly good enough for me.
